Rangers Win Series Opener at Coliseum
Oakland, CA - The Oakland Athletics blew late leads in both the eighth and ninth innings, falling to the Texas Rangers 3-2 in the series opener at the Coliseum on Tuesday night.
The A's took an early 1-0 lead on a solo home run by Matt Olson in the first inning, but the Rangers tied it in the third on a sacrifice fly by Brad Miller.
Oakland regained the lead in the fifth on an RBI single by Mark Canha, but Texas again tied it in the seventh on a solo home run by Joey Gallo.
